Refine & Renew
As we're always trying to perfect what we do, it’s that time of year when we evaluate our bikini patterns and grading specs to make some needed adjustments. Even though those adjustments might be small, some even unnoticeable by consumers, it’s one of those things that when you know it’s there, you can see it from a mile away even if no one else can. So we’ve been working hard re-cutting and regrading several of our patterns to help insure that each one of out suits gives our customers the proper fit for her size & style. Trimming a little here, adding a little there. It’s all about getting customer feedback and implementing that back into the designs for the best fit possible.
As we move forward with new fabrics, evolving trends and new designs, we always try to stay in focus with our core customers desires. We do a lot of custom orders for several very fashionably conscious customers who always know what’s on the cutting edge in upcoming trends. Their feedback on cut & style is very valuable for us when producing for a larger market, but staying within our niche.
In 2012 we implemented a new German BASF poly elastic in many of our non bound edge designs. Although this new elastic was lighter, UV, chemical and chlorine resistant, and had a far better stretch life, we found that it did not perform well in all designs as we first thought. It was fine for some, but the traditional elastic we were previously using still outperformed the new in many of our beach bikinis where a heavier ply provided more design support. It’s these things that keep us up at night, and drive us to constantly try an improve our products. We’re always searching for new technology, but only if it will mean a better product in the end..
Look for some exciting new designs coming soon!!
